International prize dedicated to Women
Awarded for the second time at the Sporting d’Hiver in Monte-Carlo
on Tuesday 7 May
The Award ceremony took place in presence of His Highness Prince Albert II and Her Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco in the Salle Francois Blanc of the Sporting d’Hiver on Tuesday, May 7th.
During the event, created by the journalist Cinzia Sgambati Colman in 2012, organized by the company Welcome Service Monte Carlo, and sponsored by Alliance Boots, (The event will be, for the second time, sponsored by Alliance Boots, a leading international, pharmacy-led health and beauty group delivering a range of products and services to customers), Mr. Stephane Valeri, Government Advisor for Social Affairs and Health, presented the award to Mrs. Diane Medved Harper, professor of medicine specialized in the research of the role of the human papilloma virus in the uterine cervix cancer.
The President of the Award, Mrs. Cinzia Sgambati Colman, awarded the prize to Mrs. Adeline Garino, President of the Association “Cancer Ecoute et Réconfort” and founder of “Espace de Mieux Vivre”.
The jury of the Monte Carlo Femme de l’Année 2013 Award, who is responsible for the selection of the candidates and of the final decision, was composed by:

This year, the prizes awarded were made by the international sculptor Matéo Mornar, known around the world for his bronze and marble artwork.
Live performance of the Italian artist Fabrizio Verdamin, who made an upside down portrait of Princess Charlene of Monaco, followed by the gift to the Sovereign Prince already painted.
